JOB PURPOSE 

Designs and builds tools and platforms to deliver a best in class developer experience for multiple development teams. Performs business/software analysis. May coordinate work within a product team.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Platform Development 

Drive development of existing DevOps platforms and contribute to development of new DevOps platforms by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Develop platforms that is fast, secure and reliable to meet defined requirements. 

Platform Maintenance 

Monitor, identify, and correct complex platform defects to maintain fully functioning platforms, leveraging the support and skill of more junior teammates. 

Infrastructure As Code 

Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, Ansible, Crossplane/YAML, and more. Set the standards that development teams will use. 

Automation Engineering 

Design and develop effective automation of many manual processes using a variety of scripting languages including but not limited to Powershell, Go, Python, and Bash. 

Continuous Integration/Deployment 

Design and develop sophisticated CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions, Flux/ArgoCD, Jenkins, etc. 

Technical Developments Recommendation 

Research and suggest ways to optimize solutions to better meet user and/or business, performance, quality needs. 

Documentation 

Writes documentation and diagrams to explain system design and how our end users can use them. 

Ongoing Learning and Development 

Mentor junior team members by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level preferred

  • General Experience: Experience enables job holder to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others (Over 3 years to 6 years)

  • Managerial Experience: Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months).

Targeted Pay Range: $83,000.00 - $138,200.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
