Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Supply Chain Manager to join our fast-growing team. Based on-site at our manufacturing partner, Flex, in Austin, TX, this role offers an exciting opportunity to drive strategic supply chain initiatives and ensure the successful execution of factory operations. In this expanded position, you will be the primary liaison between the Supply Chain Product Management (SCPM) team and Flex's manufacturing operations. You will manage key products throughout the supply process, ensuring that production and revenue goals are met while maintaining alignment with the demand plan. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and cross-functional collaboration to the role.

You will be working closely with internal teams and EMS partner to resolve supply chain issues, enhance efficiency, and drive continuous improvements. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the performance of our supply chain and the overall business success. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Product Management.

Role Overview

As a Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will play a critical, expanded role as the primary liaison between the Supply Chain Product Management (SCPM) team and our on-site manufacturing operations at Flex. This hands-on position demands a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, the ability to drive factory execution, and a strategic mindset to address challenges swiftly and effectively. Your work will directly impact the performance of our supply chain, contributing significantly to our business success..

In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end supply process for assigned products, ensuring timely execution, alignment with demand plans, and seamless delivery of high-quality products to meet revenue goals. As the factory’s primary point of contact for supply chain-related issues, you will be responsible for managing specific products and resolving any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.You will lead cross-functional collaborations, engage with EMS partners, and drive continuous process improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability. Your ability to coordinate between the SCPM team and the factory will be key to ensuring smooth operations and mitigating risks in the supply chain.

Your Impact

  • Ownership: Manage end-to-end (E2E) supply continuity for hardware products, executing the supply plan to meet revenue goals
  • Factory Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact at Flex, ensuring timely execution of deliverables and alignment with the gross plan
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Planning, Materials Management, and Engineering) and EMS/CM partners on materials readiness, risk mitigation, and product issues such as re-spins, rework, and quality challenges
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze supply chain KPIs (e.g., Commit Accuracy, Attainment to Plan) and lead recovery planning for any identified gaps
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Product Management, Supply Chain, TechOps, and other cross-functional teams to support supply continuity and strategic objectives
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with EMS partners to enhance supply chain processes, implementing best practices and automation
  • Reporting: Present KPIs and performance metrics in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) and lead EMS scorecard discussions
  • NPI Collaboration: Support the transition of products from NPI to sustaining, ensuring a seamless transfer of information (TOI)

Qualifications

Your Experience 

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in supply chain management or program management, with a focus on manufacturing, materials management, and production planning. Previous experience in a high-tech or electronics manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with supply chain systems and processes, including demand planning, material management, and production scheduling
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address complex supply chain issues, making critical decisions independently and proactively
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results
  • Location: This position is based at our Flex manufacturing facility in Austin, TX, where you will be closely embedded within the production environment, managing specific products and ensuring continuity of supply

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a factory environment, particularly with contract manufacturing partners
  • Familiarity with EMS/CM processes and the ability to navigate and resolve manufacturing issues

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $114000/YR - $186000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
