We are looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our development team that builds the next generation of patient-facing applications. You are a senior level developer who demonstrates design & engineering excellence and has experience working with full-stack web applications, preferably in public and private cloud environments. You are an excellent communicator and nimble learner who embraces the challenges and complexity of working in the healthcare space.

The Team

The Patient Experience Platform zone provides the essential services, tools, and standards that our patient-focused development teams depend on to address their unique domain-specific challenges. Within this zone, the Web Tools team is responsible for the Patient Experience frontend design system, shared components, and utilities that deliver engaging accessible, secure, and performant experiences to a broad spectrum of patient browsers and devices. Additionally, we play a vital role in establishing, maintaining, and promoting shared frontend standards, patterns, and best practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute individually to code and systems design
  • Collaborate inclusively with cross-functional team members to develop solutions
  • Develop domain expertise and share technical insights within the team
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest browser capabilities, industry best practices, and advances in AI
  • Mentor and advise engineering team members

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience with significant product development expertise
  • Web application development experience with a focus on the frontend (e.g., React, MicroFrontend architecture)
  • Experience writing and debugging modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Strong focus on delivering high-quality code that is readable, scalable, performant, and accessible
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise-level Design Systems
  • Experience with build systems (e.g., Webpack, Vite) and CI/CD deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
  • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Playwright)
