Guideline is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with mobile development expertise to join our expanding engineering team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll assist our current Mobile team in their projects to bring existing website functionality to our mobile app. This position is capable of working remotely.

What You Will Work On

  • Maintain and build new experiences that bring our award winning mobile closer to feature parity with our current web app
  • Handle bug fixes, build out testing coverage, and ensure the highest quality of code and deployments to keep conversion rates high
  • Partner with product and design to solve the root cause and not just address symptoms of a bigger problem

What We're Looking For

  • Strong fundamentals in React Native and GraphQL
  • Experience with Expo and Push Notifications
  • Ability to develop, teach and enforce standards in mobile best practices
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, Honeycomb, or similar tools.
  • Experience with writing automated unit tests, integration and frontend tests using tools like React Testing Library, Capybara and Playwright
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, designing APIs, and security lifecycle best practices
  • Experience building consumer-facing software products
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams

Compensation

At Guideline, we believe compensation should be fair and equitable. We take a data-driven approach to set our compensation bands; the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and work location. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

  • Metro+:
    The base salary range for this position is $146,500 - $205,000 annually.
  • Metro:
    The base salary range for this position is $130,500 - $189,000 annually.
  • National: 
    The base salary range for this position is $127,500 - $186,000 annually.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to receive equity in the form of Incentive Stock Options (ISOs).
