In this position you will be part of the Engineering team at ServiceTitan responsible for the technical development of our product and tooling platform specifically around Automation, Platforms and engineering experiences . We are looking for engineers to contribute to our software development lifecycle by building out tools, libraries, frameworks and processes that will improve our development velocity, expand teams’ testing abilities, enable teams to self-service, and enable fast, reliable, comprehensive automated coverage. 

We need technically capable, forward-looking, experienced engineers with shared services and tooling experience with a passion for quality who can build best-in-class tools to be adopted across all of ServiceTitan and facilitate segments of quality delivery - functional, acceptance, performance, security, disaster readiness, etc across the board.  We also desire those who can balance rapid iteration and development with long term strategic thinking and who are innovative, confident, and comfortable with ambiguity.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Design, build, and maintain instrumentation, data pipelines and analysis tools to support data driven decision making

  • Plan for and optimize the evolution of ST infrastructure and products

  • Work across teams at ST to help define and implement efficiency, latency and optimization projects

  • Conduct deep-dives on product design and architecture, in collaboration with various Engineering teams, driving cross cutting initiatives and having a direct impact on product development

  • Design, build and maintain systems for automated analysis, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Optimize code, configuration, and systems to achieve improved utilization,  performance and latency 

What You Have: 

  • 8-10+ years of professional hands-on software development experience

  • Experience developing, operating and debugging, and optimizing end to end  performance of distributed systems at scale

  • Experience building infrastructure as a product centered around users’ needs

  • Experience with scaling distributed systems in a rapidly moving environment

  • Experience with resource optimization in online, async or batch processing systems

  • Experience with performance, utilization monitoring tools in distributed environments

  • Comfortable breaking down large, complex systems and identify optimization opportunities

  • Implement or utilize tools to analyze performance data, monitor resource utilization of large scale distributed systems

  • Make data driven cost performance tradeoffs to influence design decisions

  • Build and operate infrastructure, tools that empower and accelerate developers to build better products

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $151,100 USD - $202,100 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
