We are seeking an experienced Salesforce developer to accelerate the growth of our highly customized Salesforce instance. This is a unique opportunity to build internal tools for a rapidly growing luxury jewelry startup.

Ada Diamonds is an online custom fine jeweler and the leading luxury retailer of lab diamonds. Our unique online concierge model combines the ease, transparency, and flexibility of an online retailer with the high-touch, client-focused model of a private jeweler.

The Role:


Our Salesforce instance seamlessly integrates lead management, sales workflows, inventory management, jewelry production, and shipping, all through custom applications developed in Lightning Design System with significant use of open source libraries to improve the UX. There are multiple web services integrations throughout the system with Google Suite (Drive, Email, Calendar), AWS, accounting software, shipping APIs, etc.


As part of our team, the preferred candidate will have ownership of several immediate projects aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of our system.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for multiple aspects of software development to improve our core architecture - from database and UX design to quality control and deployment. Due to the diverse technologies used across our stack, we encourage applications from talented, driven developers even if you are only familiar with portions of the Salesforce ecosphere we use today. Exceptionally talented developers with experience in similar architectures such as Palantir Foundry, Tableau, Snowflake, Netsuite, etc. are encouraged to apply.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrates sharpness, proactivity, critical thinking skills, and excellent communication abilities
  • Possesses advanced proficiency in Apex including Triggers, Email Services, Future/Queueable processes, and Test Classes
  • Boasts extensive experience with Lightning Aura Components and LWC
  • Is proficient at integrating Salesforce with a variety of external systems using REST and GraphQL (Google Suite, AWS (S3), DAM, Accounting, Shipping, eCommerce, etc.)
  • Knows SOQL well, and is comfortable creating custom objects, properties, and formulas
  • Excels in integrating and utilization of open-source tools and libraries
  • Is skilled in utilizing SFDX, Visual Studio, Sandboxes, and Changesets effectively
  • Possesses practical experience with Git workflows for efficient collaboration and version control

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related IT discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years dedicated to Salesforce project development
  • A thorough understanding of the Salesforce deployment process and tools
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment and proactively manage responsibilities
  • Must live a commutable distance to our Austin office

Logistics & Compensation

  • Full-time, contract position
  • Hybrid work model (2-3 days in office) 
  • Initial 12-week contract with option for extension
  • Working out of our Austin showroom
  • $2400 - $3000 per week depending on experience
  • Dress code: Sophisticated business casual attire

  • Candidates will be asked in their initial interview their desired salary and should be mindful of what is appropriate for their skills and experience 
  • An in-person interview is required as the final step of our interview process
