As a Senior Sales Development Representative, you will prospect mid-market finance decision-makers, conduct outreach, qualify leads, and maintain CRM hygiene while collaborating with sales and marketing teams.

Are you a driven sales professional who loves the thrill of opening doors and creating opportunities? We’re looking for an ambitious and results-driven SDR to join the Centime growth team. In this impactful role, you’ll be the tip of the spear for our sales efforts – identifying, engaging, and qualifying CFOs and finance executives across mid-market companies. If you are resourceful, resilient, and thrive in a rapidly-evolving startup environment, this role is for you! (This is not an entry-level position – you should have prior success in a B2B sales development role and be eager to elevate your game in the fintech space.)

About the Role – What You’ll Do:

  • Prospect & Research: Strategically target mid-market companies in manufacturing, CPG, professional services and more. Use tools like ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify key finance decision-makers (CFOs, VPs of Finance) and gather insights on their business.

  • Outreach & Engagement: Conduct high-volume, high-quality outreach to potential customers via a true multi-channel approach – personalized emails, cold calls, LinkedIn messages, and even video. You’ll craft compelling messaging that speaks to each prospect’s cash management pain points, earning their attention and interest.

  • Qualify Opportunities: Hold discovery conversations with finance leaders to understand their needs and pain points around cash flow, AR/AP, and treasury. Qualify prospects against defined criteria (using SPICED methodology) to ensure they’re a mutual fit for Centime. Your goal is to set up high-quality meetings for our Account Executive team by piquing interest and establishing initial value.

  • Nurture Leads: Not every outreach will convert right away – you will nurture colder leads over time. Manage follow-up sequences (calls/emails) diligently, and stay on top of re-engaging prospects who showed interest but weren’t ready yet. You understand that persistence and timely follow-up are key to success in sales development.

  • Collaborate & Optimize: Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams. Provide feedback on messaging resonance and common objections you hear from finance pros – you are the front-line and your insights will help us refine our approach. Attend regular coaching sessions, share what’s working (and what’s not) with peers, and continuously optimize your outreach strategy.

  • Maintain CRM Hygiene: Keep our HubSpot CRM up-to-date with every contact, activity, and next step. You’ll log calls, track emails, and manage your pipeline of leads with discipline. This ensures smooth hand-off of qualified opportunities to AEs and provides transparency into your work.

About You – What You Bring:

  • 1+ year of success in a SaaS sales development or B2B outbound sales role (required). You have proven experience prospecting and booking meetings in a technology environment – you know the SDR basics inside and out.

  • Experience with modern sales tools. Hands-on familiarity with tools like ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and a sales engagement platform (e.g., Outreach) is expected. You’re comfortable building lead lists, sending sequenced campaigns, and leveraging a CRM (we use HubSpot) to stay organized. (If you’ve used comparable tools, that’s fine – the key is you’re tech-savvy and quick to learn new platforms.)

  • Outstanding communication skills. You are confident and clear on the phone, and you write crisp, engaging emails. You can strike a professional tone with senior executives yet still personalize your message so it doesn’t sound canned. Excellent written and verbal communication is a must – including the ability to listen actively and ask good questions.

  • Resilient and driven to WIN. You’re highly goal-oriented, whether that’s exceeding your monthly meeting quota or turning a “no” into a “not yet.” You handle rejection in stride, maintain a positive attitude, and bounce back quickly. Terms like “cold call” don’t scare you – they energize you. You have the grit required to do the repetitive but rewarding work of sales development.

  • Organized and self-motivated. You know how to manage your time and juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball. As a remote worker, you take initiative each day and sustain productivity with minimal supervision. You’re disciplined about using calendars, tasks, and CRM reminders to ensure every prospect gets followed up with.

  • Curious and coachable. You have a growth mindset – always looking to learn about your prospects, our product, and new sales tactics. You’re not afraid to ask questions to expand your understanding. Feedback is something you welcome because you’re hungry to improve. When the team tries a new playbook or message, you adapt quickly and eagerly.

  • Domain knowledge in finance or fintech (bonus). Maybe you’ve sold to CFOs or finance teams before, or you have a degree in finance/accounting – that’s a plus! If not, no problem, but you must be willing to learn the basics of our domain. Ultimately, you can confidently converse about topics like cash flow, DSO, working capital, etc., or you’ll ramp up to that quickly.

Benefits & Culture:

  • Named Best Place to Work for 2023 🏆. We’re a fast-growing, customer-first fintech startup where your work has a direct impact. Succeed here, and the sky’s the limit for your career in sales.

  • Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive base salary + uncapped commission 💰. When you book great meetings that turn into pipeline and revenue, you’ll see it in your paycheck. Equity grants are also part of the package – we all share in our successes.

  • Fully Remote & Flexible: Work from anywhere in the U.S. 🧑‍💻. We collaborate closely via Zoom/Slack, but we also trust you to get your work done on a schedule that fits your life. Centime offers flexible hours, generous holidays, and flexible PTO ✈️ to recharge.

  • Inclusive Team Culture: Join a tight-knit team that celebrates wins and has fun. We recognize effort, support each other through challenges, and believe in building an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. You’ll feel the energy of a startup that truly values its people.

If you’re excited by the opportunity to connect innovators in finance with a solution that can transform their cash management, and you have the skills and drive to excel in a remote SDR role, we want to hear from you!
