NOTE: This position is hybrid (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays in office) based in Uptown Dallas, TX. 

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Own the preparation of the accounting for our Care Enterprise revenue streams including reconciliation of automated processes and journal entries for manual processes ensuring all revenue accounting is GAAP compliant and recorded in accordance with the Company’s close calendar.
  • Review applicable contracts for Care Enterprise and ensure appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.  
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations, supporting schedules, and other reporting packages as required.
  • Assist with annual revenue recognition analysis as appropriate including updating memos and workpapers as needed.
  • Partner with the IT and Insights teams to increase automation within existing revenue subprocesses to improve the efficiency and accuracy of accounting processes.
  • Partner with the Product / Ops team to understand new products and projects and assist with determining the appropriate accounting treatment and operationalizing the recording of revenue for these new revenue streams.
  • Work with SOX compliance, internal audit, and external audit around IT and manual controls in place over Care consumer revenue processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analyses for management and others.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Firm understanding of US GAAP revenue recognition (ASC 606).
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data while having an acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities to meet tight close deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to proactively make management aware of potential risks.
  • Demonstrated experience performing and documenting monthly close processes and maintaining supporting documentation for financial transactions.
  • Database/SQL or Workday ERP system experience is not required but is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Excel is required. 

Education/Other Pre-Requisites: 

  • BA/BS in accounting required.
  • 2-4 years of work experience, preferably at a public company or in public accounting 
  • CPA preferred

Salary Range:  $90,000-$100,000. 

The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
