Tecovas is looking for a Sr. Visual Merchandising Manager reporting to the Sr. Director, Visual Experience. This role supports the overall customer experience of the Tecovas brand through product placement, in-store furniture, fixtures, artwork, and storytelling, which are pivotal components to the success of new initiatives as Tecovas scales the brand. With two direct reports, you will support monthly VM directives, standards, VM training, and specifically focus on our flagship locations. Cross-functional collaboration with the internal Product and Marketing teams as well as external vendors is a key component to this role. Your contributions will help drive excellence in visual merchandising, elevate the customer experience and make a business impact to all Tecovas retail locations.

This role is required to be based in Austin, TX. Candidates must either be currently located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX.

What you'll do:

Scale the Brand:

  • Working with the Sr. Director on schedule of travel for 13 new store openings in 2025 with 40% travel annually
  • Manage and adhere to individual store budgets for Fixtures, Furniture and Equipment (FFE) for all retail stores
  • Own the procurement of fixtures, furniture and equipment (FFE), props, artwork for new retail stores
  • Streamline ordering process to a minimal amount of items for NSO working directly with Operations and our vendors
  •  Lead the creation and execution of floor plans and visual set up for new store openings in partnership with Sr. Director Visual Experience
  • Partner with Sr. Director on any Wholesale projects and VM Standards for accounts

Training:

  • Lead Sr. VM Coordinator - Directives/Training for all Assistant Store Manager | Visual Merchandising positions in stores with monthly calls and in field training seminars
  • Lead Sr. VM Coordinator - Flagship, to support our growing flagship stores in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and New York City
  • Partner with the Field Leadership Team to mentor, train, and develop the Assistant Store Manager | Visual Merchandising position

Visual Merchandising:

  • Create, evolve and maintain visual merchandising standards and guidelines in our stores and the Dallas Mart Showroom
  • Own and coordinate the production of floorset directives and seasonal signage
  • Own and coordinate procurement of all holiday in store decor
  • Communicate visual changes to the field appropriately for timely and seamless execution 
  • Building team spirit by creating strong morale, acting as if real success is the success of the whole team
  • Stimulates creative thinking in self and others

Experience we're looking for:

  • At least 6 years of visual merchandising experience with multi-door and omni-channel brands
  • Proven leadership and communication skills within a corporate work environment
  • Strong comprehension of display production, visual merchandising standards and monthly floor set processes
  • Experience with short-term and long-term training in relation to visual merchandising responsibilities across the field
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency level in the following areas: Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite
