The Opportunity

The Senior Enterprise Risk Analyst will support the ongoing development and execution of the Enterprise Risk Management Program, which includes risk identification, analysis, measurement, monitoring, and reporting. The Senior Risk Analyst will have a detailed and comprehensive understanding of risk identification, assessment, and mitigation techniques and approaches, with experience across multiple risk management and compliance domains. They will also assist in managing risk initiatives across the organization.

Day In the Life

  • Collaborate with risk liaisons, risk owners, and/or business unit leaders to identify and evaluate the likelihood and impact of risks, as well as the design and/or effectiveness of related controls. This includes but is not limited to assisting in and/or conducting business unit and ad-hoc risk assessments.

  • Partner with 1st line GRC and 2nd line risk functions to ensure all identified risks are accounted for in assessments and issue documentation.

  • Identify risk mitigation gaps, provide recommendations for control enhancement(s), and monitor remediation activities as it relates to ongoing Issues Management.

  • Provide necessary updates to Velera’s GRC platform and related analyses to allow consistent and accurate risk reporting.

  • Provide advice and guidance to management to support the creation of key performance and key risk indicators while further supporting the early identification of risk trends.

  • Prepare high-quality risk reports for Management.

  • Participate, under the direction of ERM leadership, in the quarterly KPI and KRI reporting process.

  • Conduct research into relevant indicators of risk for each risk category with a focus on leading and coincident indicators where possible; and, identifying issues for KRIs persistently out of tolerance.

  • Participate in discussions with Business Unit Leaders and risk owners to enhance the key risk indicators that are aligned to the Company’s key performance indicators.

  • Prepare documentation of the key performance and risk indicators that will comprise the measures supporting the Company’s risk appetite statement for review by ERM leadership.

  • Under the direction of ERM leadership, provide recommendations to further promote awareness and affect positive change in the risk culture across the organization, while meeting the ERM objectives and alignment of the overall strategic goals.

  • Stay abreast of emerging risk trends, industry best practices, and legislations in order to assess potential impact to VELERA.

  • Maintain a comprehensive set of ERM tools – technology, policies, and procedures to analyze and report enterprise risks.

  • Prepare updates to ERM Program documents for review by ERM leadership. When required, recommend changes to risk assessment and risk monitoring methodologies to ensure the Company keeps pace with the leading edge of risk management practices.

  • Assist ERM leadership with the preparation of deliverables for board and management committees, executives, and business unit leaders.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Information technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Three (3) years in enterprise risk management required with experience in conducting facilitated sessions to identify, analyze, and quantify risks (qualitative & quantitative), identifying and aligning internal controls to risks, and testing internal controls. Experience participating in complex projects and creating documentation to communicate results required.

  • Experience applying financial and technology compliance controls using frameworks such as NIST Cyber Security Framework, ISO 27001, SOC Types 1 and 2, COBIT, ITIL, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), PCI standards, and CCPA/GDPR preferred. 

  • Related professional designations / certifications preferred (RIMS-CRMP, CRISC, CISM, CPA, CISA, CISSP).  

  • Experience with integrated risk management systems (LogicManager preferred)

  • Minimal travel may be required

Pay Equity

$67,700.00

to

$86,300.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
