Ultimately our success as a company is dependent upon our success as a system, and our bottler’s and consumers ability to grow and thrive in the ever-changing marketplace. As a Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for leading and building our relationship with our national accounts and expanding our partnership to drive our Beverages for Life strategy. We’re looking for candidates with a passion for sales and a proven track record of growing revenue in a fast-paced sales environment. 

What You’ll Do for Us: 

  • Tailor customer strategies to International and local market opportunities and competitive conditions, leverage shopper and consumer insights, and utilize category planning resources.  

  • Influence Retail Sales, Bottler (Domestic & International), and Independent Bottler leadership via steering committees’ processes to the extent differing opinions are heard, consensus is reached, and action plans are developed and executed in a collaborative manner.  

  • Collaborate with bottling partners and portfolio distributors worldwide to build sales capability, facilitate stewardship discussions, and enhance market penetration across all regions.  

Leadership: 

  • Provide overall Coca-Cola system leadership and international perspective on the customer teams.  

  • Demonstrate to senior executives the leadership and stewardship of our business relations and performance execution.  

  • Coordinate execution requirements with all appropriate Coca-Cola system constituents to ensure customer plans meet overall business objectives and strategies  

  • Ensure comprehensive vertical and horizontal call coverage within the customer's International organizational structure.  

  • Intervene at the right organizational level to improve customer metrics and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.  

  • Lead in the development of all execution targets and use of appropriate tracking and performance measuring tools  

  • Responsible for leading the annual planning process for Costco International.  

  • Building shopper centric and occasion based joint business plans.  

  • Coordinate global activations and build alignment across the system to leverage system and retailer assets to bring activations to life.  

  • Ensures linkage of price/package customer planning with Retail Sales and Bottler business development processes  

  • Leverage the multi-functional capabilities of the Coca-Cola system.  

  • Preparing the Coca-Cola system for opportunities and risks associated with customer initiatives that require system resource or expertise to execute.  

  • Mitigate potential negative financial impacts to the Coca-Cola system of retail initiatives by influencing the retailer in the developments of those initiatives.  

  • Provide subject matter expertise on supply chain management and recommendations to improve the efficiency of delivering goods to the customer.  

  • Create a networked system team for Costco to identify new business opportunities and create partnerships.  

  • Work closely with the customer to develop and execute business plans and investment priorities to develop long-term strategies and joint business plans.  

  • Identify and evaluate customer technologies and trends in retail media and e-commerce  

  • Help the Coca-Cola system navigate the customer’s e-commerce and retail media initiatives and balance the system needs with customer directions.  

  • Enabling the system to shape and fully exploit opportunities created with customer strategies and mitigate any risk to the system and the business.  

  • Work with cross-functional teams worldwide to ensure that Coca-Cola delivers the full depth and breadth of resources that result in mutual benefits and drive results globally.  

  • Lead the stewardship routines with responsible distributors worldwide to measure and communicate partner activities against mutually agreed-upon plans.  

Qualification & Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related background preferred.  

  • Related Work Experience:  

  • 7+ years in consumer goods industry  

  • 7+ years in sales/marketing or major account management  

  • 3+ years managing professional salespeople.  

Functional Skills:  

  • Strong leadership skills and team management with great collaboration between functional teams.  

  • Experience working with market research data, including Nielsen or Circana. 

  • Experience in developing successful annual business plans and price/package plans for retail customers.  

  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.  

  • Proficiency in the following computer applications: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access)

Pay Range:

$169,000 - $196,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
