The Automation Services Team: driving operational efficiency through automation.

The Automation Services team plays a crucial role in enabling various IT teams and departments within the company to reduce their operational workload by automating repetitive tasks and processes. By implementing end to end automation solutions, we empower teams to focus on strategic initiatives and improve service delivery.

We leverage automation technologies/tools that include ServiceNow, Ansible and Gitlab, delivering scalable and reliable automation solutions to enable the IT teams across the organization to operate in a truly Agile manner.

Your profile

 

As a DevOps Automation Expert, you will work as part of the Automation Services team to design, develop, and deliver automation solutions for various IT teams and departments. Your broad IT knowledge and expertise will allow you to automate diverse IT components, ranging from networks and storage to servers, virtualization, cloud, and operating systems (Windows and Linux). Using tools like Ansible, Python, and CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, you will help reduce the operational load across the organization.

 

You will play a key role in moving towards zero-downtime operations, self-service functionality, and self-healing platforms. By implementing intelligent automation solutions, you will empower teams to deploy and manage their infrastructure efficiently while ensuring reliability and scalability.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Analyze, design, and implement automation solutions for IT environments, including network, storage, virtualization, cloud, and server infrastructure.

·       Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to enable seamless integration and deployment of automation processes.

·       Write and maintain automation scripts using tools like Ansible and programming languages like Python.

·       Collaborate with IT teams to identify opportunities for automation and drive continuous improvement in their processes.

·       Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation tools and workflows.

·       Document and share best practices to enable other teams to adopt and scale automation solutions effectively.

·       Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in automation and DevOps to recommend improvements.

Requirements:

·       A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

·       Excellent IT knowledge across areas such as networking, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), and operating systems (Windows and Linux).

·       Proficiency with automation tools like Ansible and scripting languages such as Python.

·       Strong experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally in GitLab.

·       Solid understanding of Agile principles and DevOps practices.

·       Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and methodologies.

·       Problem-solving mindset with the ability to proactively identify and address challenges.

·       Fluent in English, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

·       Passion for driving operational excellence through automation.
