  • Deployment Automation: Own and streamline the CI/CD process using tools like GitHub Actions to enable faster, safer, and more consistent releases.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Lead efforts to improve observability using Datadog, Grafana, and other tools, ensuring uptime and proactive issue detection.
  • Technical Enablement: Support the engineering team’s development workflow by creating efficient, isolated development environments and optimizing inter-service communication.

Growth opportunities

  • Play a key role in shaping our DevOps strategy, including security, automation, and operational best practices.
  • Opportunity to work with advanced AWS services, learn emerging IaC technologies, and support large-scale, high-traffic systems.
  • Drive cost savings, reduce deployment times, and increase security—directly impacting company efficiency and growth.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a DevOps engineer, working in agile environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Active team player, self-starter, and multitasker who can quickly adjust priorities
  • Willingness to be in office 3 days a week
  • Fluency in AWS infrastructure, including ECS, S3, networking, and managed services.
  • Experience with the following (or similar) technologies: Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi/Terraform), Datadog, Grafana, one backend programming language (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, etc.)

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes to manage and deploy containers at scale.
  • Ability to audit, test, and strengthen security controls within infrastructure and application layers.
  • Experience with event-driven infrastructure, queuing systems, and tools like Kafka or AWS SNS/SQS.
