Schrödinger seeks a Scientific Software Development Intern for Mixed Solvent Molecular Dynamics (MD) to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life by developing and applying advanced computational methods.

As a member of our Desmond team, you’ll help develop and enhance cutting-edge tools for simulating and analyzing solvent interactions in biomolecular systems. Your passion for computational chemistry will help you make key contributions to advancements in molecular dynamics simulation techniques.

What you’ll do:

  • Work on a project focused on advancing the Mixed Solvent MD workflow by optimizing solvent models, enhancing sampling methods, or developing analysis tools
  • Collaborate with team members to improve existing MD tools and ensure they are robust and user-friendly
  • Contribute to validating methods and testing workflows to ensure accurate and reliable simulation results

What you should have:

  • Proficiency in Python, with experience with similar languages being a plus
  • At least two years of experience writing and debugging code
  • Basic knowledge of molecular dynamics simulations and familiarity with concepts like force fields and solvation
  • A foundational understanding of physical chemistry or biochemistry

Estimated base salary: $7,500/mo. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
