As a Sales Development Representative at Standard Metrics, you will get a front-row seat in the fast-paced world of venture capital and private markets and will have the opportunity for an exciting mix of tactical and strategic work as we look to rapidly expand our playbook, team and business. We are looking for passionate and self-driven team players who have experience prospecting, creating and executing outbound campaigns, booking discovery calls, and working closely with Account Executives to find new deals.

What You'll Do

  • Build and execute outbound sales development plan to generate new business opportunities and conduct high-level conversations with key stakeholders in venture capital prospect accounts to fuel our growth
  • Write tailored messages and cold call qualified prospects
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives to create and prioritize target account lists and book qualified meetings
  • Be the first point of contact handling all incoming customer enquiries
  • Ensure all data is properly maintained and updated in our CRM
  • Utilize business and industry knowledge to research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, create/identify compelling events, and develop accounts
  • Set meetings & demos between prospective clients and Standard Metrics Account Executives
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years of progressive SaaS software sales development experience
  • Experience using prospecting tools (Salesforce, Apollo, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, etc)
  • Strong networker, connecting with prospects even when outside of sales-motion fostering deep relationships
  • Excellent sleuthing, creativity, communication, and writing skills
  • Track record of achieving and/or exceeding quotas
  • Experience with Private Markets firms, Venture Capital or Private Equity is a plus

For our employees, located in the USA, we aim to pay at or above the market rate of US-based tech hubs like San Francisco or NYC. For international roles, we aim to pay top of market for your country. The estimated annual base salary for this role is between $60,000-$70,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
