About the Role

We're looking for a hungry, independent, and coachable salesperson who loves a challenge to help us grow our business in our current channel- micro markets- with a primary focus on new clients and a secondary focus managing our channel sales pipeline. You will be selling our theft detection software and smart cameras through significant outbound outreach and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

  • You will help with the continued growth and direction of the company

  • You will learn the inner workings of a small startup growing quickly and will receive a first-rate education in company-building in case you'd like to build your own company someday

  • Increase top-line revenue and unit deployment

  • Educate yourself on Panoptyc's products and services

  • Call on dormant and warm leads in Panoptyc's existing channel of micro markets

  • Call on new markets for our technology

  • Conduct and effectively manage business development activities including but not limited to cold calling, warm calling, follow-ups, cold emailing/social media outreach, holding webinars, attending conferences and events and making in-person customer visits, social media posts, and creating monthly newsletter email to customers and prospective customers

  • Tracking outreach effectiveness and sales metrics and iterating your approach to maximize your effectiveness

  • Maintain CRM

  • Build and maintain lead lists for the micro market industry

  • Share customer feedback on technology and areas for improvement

  • Putting prospective customers and expansion opportunities into tiers and tailoring outreach to the opportunity size and tier

Requirements

  • Experience is less important than having the right qualities like these:

  • Hard-working, independent, competitive, fearless, coachable, ambitious, efficient, persevering, contrarian, loves learning, empathetic, curious, high-integrity, acts with a sense of urgency, responsive and follows up, assertive, entrepreneurial, good listener

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ideally, you have sales experience but it's not a prerequisite for success

Job Details

  • Full-time status (40 hours per week)

Compensation

  • Competitive pay and benefits

  • $55,000 – $65,000 salary + commission
