The Role

Candex is seeking a motivated and energetic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team. The SDR will play a key role in driving new business opportunities for the company by qualifying leads, setting up appointments, and providing support to the sales team. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and a proven track record in prospecting and lead generation. Fluency in English and Japanese is a business requirement for this role, as it will enable effective communication with potential clients in Japan and APAC.  

Responsibilities 

  • Generate and qualify new leads through cold calling, emailing, and other outreach strategies.
  • Schedule meetings and demonstrations for the sales team with potential clients.
  • Follow-up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects.
  • Meet or exceed assigned quotas for leads and appointments.
  • Keep accurate records in the CRM system of all activities and interactions with leads and customers.
  • Work closely with the sales team to accelerate the sales cycle and extend reach into target accounts.
  • Participate in regular sales training and sales strategy meetings.
  • Conduct market research to understand competitors and market trends.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services to effectively engage and build relationships with potential clients.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in targeting Enterprise accounts globally.
  • Fluency in Japanese and English is a must.
  • A firm understanding of Enterprise business systems like Ariba, Coupa, GEP, Workday, and similar systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with a track record of successful lead follow-up and sales development.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CRM software is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas with references.
