Sales and Business Development Representative

The Sales and Business Development representative role ensures Ohmium International, Inc. (“Company”) growth by establishing and building partnerships and execution of our commercial strategies.

Responsibilities

Schedule and conduct customer engagement meetings to introduce Ohmium company, product and services. Understand the sales cycle and the actions required for each sale cycle. Act as a project manager for all on-going customer projects, especially projects with strategic customers. Understand the overall project lifecycle, respond to all the inquiries from customers at the different stages of the project lifecycle, and track and close all the actions in a timely manner. Maintain regular dialogues and catch ups with potential customers to capture new business opportunities in four customer segments, renewable IPPs, Oil and gas players, Developers, and manufacturers. Capture regular updates from customers about the project development progress, project funding situation, etc. Conduct and facilitate customer technical and commercial workshops, prepare the meeting agenda, presentations of the workshop. Record all the meeting minutes of the workshop and follow up on all actions noted during the workshop internally and externally. Give regular updates of customer project status and open actions that need to be closed, update the project trackers based on the leadership requirements. Lead outreach efforts to identify hydrogen projects with the objective of winning new business opportunities for Ohmium. Work on MoUs and conduct contract negotiations required from the project and customer engagement perspective. Maintain competitive and market intelligence reports to advance Ohmium products into multiple markets or industries.

  • Remote work location which provides a work environment that (a) allows for confidential or sensitive discussions; (b) is quiet and distraction-free; (c) has consistent high-quality internet and phone access (d) ensures availability as required during business hours across North America and South America including nights and weekends as maybe required and (e) safe from hazards.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally if required at least 30% of the time. 

  • Ability to attend meetings, industry and networking events, customer facilities or project sites at least as required.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s in electrical or mechanical engineering, business, communications, or marketing preferred;

or 

  • A combination of education, certification, or work experience in some science/engineering related field, including experience with hydrogen or electrical systems, sales, etc.  

Knowledge and Skills

  • Have strong project management skills, make sure all the customers’ requests are recorded, tracked, and addressed.

  • Have strong business acumen, understand the customers’ demand and requirements, can triangulate the information about the project across EPCs, project owners, financing parties, offtakes sometimes.

  • Effective presentation: Has strong ability to effectively prepare and present both commercial and technical information at all levels of the company. 

  • Communicates Effectively – Speaks clearly and expresses self well in groups; conveys information in a clear and concise manner; conveys information in a manner with different audiences can understand.

  • Build Effective Partnerships and relationships: Has the ability to build rapport with customers at all levels.

  • Has strong problem-solving skills and understand how to problem solve with customers to help them to de-risk the project.

  • Can do attitude and fast learner: Can learn about the product, project and hydrogen economics fast, and has strong can do attitude and can work independently.  

  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressive experience working with hydrogen or electrical system sales and business development required

  • Some sales experience in the renewable energy sector preferred. 

               

Additional Requirements

  • Exempt Regular Fulltime 

  • Must work 40 hours per week or such other time as required to complete tasks
