Regional Quality Manager – North American Operations

Arlington, VA, Irvine CA, Austin, TX, Orlando, FL or proximity to another Thales site - Hybrid

Position Summary

Thales is currently looking for a Regional Quality Manager who provides support of the Quality activities at the regional level. He or she is the Quality partner to the NORAM perimeter to guarantee product/project quality and ensure that the level of quality provides value and satisfaction to customers. He or she represents the Quality authority and speaks on the customer’s behalf within the Project teams.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Administration of the Quality Certificates in the region. This includes working with the external registry company to schedule audits for the entities, ensure that we are on schedule and not allow any certificate to lapse. Also train entities to the changes to the Certification requirements in order for the entity to be included in the certification. All certifications will be done by region and not by site except if specific to an entities business. Certifications/Audits includes but not limited to ISO 9001 and DARCI.

  • Assist the VP of Quality to drive and coordinate the Quality Transformation initiatives as well as coordinate with Group Quality leadership to communicate status and latest information on Group initiatives.

  • Assist in the collection, analyzing and corrective action planning for the Performance and Operations Dashboard for our North American (NORAM) business. Needs to have a good understood of the Quality, Procurement, HSE, and Industry KPIs.

  • Support as required in Supplier Quality for the region. If a supplier is having consistent quality issues, is not mature or requires assistance in understanding the Thales Quality requirements, this position would be available to work with this supplier.

  • Coordinate the TIMS audits with Group for the region

  • Responsible for maintaining documentation for the NORAM perimeter

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in a quality organization, or as equivalency, a combination of 12 years of education and/ or exempt quality experience.

  • At least 4 years of experience presenting detailed status of projects or initiatives to stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience of Certifications/Audits to include but not limited to ISO 9001 and DARCI.

  • Prior experience creating and maintaining Performance and Operations Dashboard

  • Prior experience working within a complex, matrix organization and who is able to synthesize large amounts of data from disparate groups and make recommendations

Special Position Requirements

Physical Environment: Will work in Office and industrial environments depending the specific project of the day.

Travel: Anticipated travel estimated at as much as 20% annually, both domestic and international.
