PTC is actively seeking a dynamic leader with a proven track record to join our outstanding team and lead the Metabolic team in the West as we prepare for an exciting upcoming launch. As the Regional Business Director (RBD), you will play a crucial role in driving and managing sales operations within your designated region. This role will report to the VP, General Manager, North America- Metabolic.
In this key position, you will develop and execute strategic sales plans that propel revenue growth and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. You’ll lead a team of sales professionals, providing them with the guidance and support necessary to exceed regional sales targets. Furthermore, you will cultivate a culture of compliance that aligns with PTC’s legal and regulatory standards. Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve regional objectives and align with overall company goals.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives. Foster a high-performance culture focused on achieving targets and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Sales Management: Oversee the sales forecast to ensure consistent growth and accurate projections. Routinely monitor sales metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Address the needs of the customers and resolve any issues to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Use insights to adjust strategies and optimize sales efforts.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the regional sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  • Collaboration: Work in a matrix environment.  Working closely with other departments, including Marketing, Patient Services, Patient Engagement and Medical, to ensure alignment and resources.
  • Other: Perform relevant tasks and assignments as needed and specified by PTC leadership.
  • The incumbent ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field and a minimum of 8 years of experience in sales management, preferably within the rare disease environment. Proven track record of successfully launching new drugs in rare/specialty/orphan disease.
  • Experience with working with a Specialty Pharmacy network.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. 
  • Focused on achieving goals with measurable results through strategic planning.
  • Emphasizes a customer-centric approach, enhancing the customer experience with tailored solutions and attentive service.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing direct reports.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, develop insights, and make strategic decisions.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills, including supporting and prioritizing multiple projects. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Field Based Position

Travel requirements: 50 - 60%

Expected Base Salary Range:

$200,700 – $240,000. The base salary offered will be contingent on assessment of candidate education level, background, and experience relative to the requirements of the position they are being considered for, as well as review of internal equity.

In addition to base salary, PTC employees are also eligible for short- and long-term incentives. All eligible employees may also enroll in PTC’s medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans.
