Job Description:

As a Senior Engineer - Identity & Access Management (IAM) at Datasite, you will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing IAM solutions, as well as integrating these solutions with other enterprise systems and platforms. You will work closely with various cross-functional teams, including development, infrastructure, and business units, to deploy and maintain IAM capabilities across critical applications and systems within the organization.

Our core platform is designed with a microservices architecture, supporting multiple web and mobile applications. We’re leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Kotlin, Java, Python, React, MongoDB (NoSQL), PingFederate, and Microsoft Azure to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads design, documentation and implementation of Identity & Access Management. Lead the design and architecture of our IAM platform and roadmap. Leads discussions on performance testing, disaster recovery, and planning to ensure a reliable and scalable IAM platform. Develop, implement, and maintain IAM solutions including identity governance, and authentication frameworks. Collaborate with development teams to integrate IAM solutions into applications and systems.

  • Design & Development: Identity Lifecycle Management: Automate identity provisioning, deprovisioning, and role-based access control (RBAC). Manage identity lifecycles across Active Directory, SSO, and cloud platforms.

  • Authentication & Authorization: Manage multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions, single sign-on (SSO) platforms, and identity federation technologies. Develop access control policies aligned with least privilege principles and business requirements.

  • Deep and strong experience within identity and access management technology. SAML, OAuth/OAuth2, OpenID Connect, MFA mechanisms, SSO, OIDC, risk-based authentication, data encryption, and session management

  • Experience working with an IAM platforms such as Auth0, Okta, Ping Identity, Oracle Access Manager, AWS IAM, or Azure

  • Mentor Team Members: Mentor engineers on IAM related technologies and development, fostering a culture of learning and best practices.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with technical, business, and UX teams to understand user needs, define requirements, and develop solutions using agile development practices.

  • Clear Documentation: Produce clear and readable documentation to communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Professional IAM Experience: At least 5+ years of professional Identity Management experience with a demonstrated understanding of modern IDM concepts and best practices.

  • Strong understanding of IAM principles (Identity and Access Management preferred), including authentication, authorization, and user lifecycle management.

  • Expert in backend development: You have 7+ years of relevant software engineering experience and are a subject matter expert in Kotlin, or Java.

  • Proven ability to lead. Track record of leading projects in the design, implementation, and/or integration of scalable, secure, and customer-centric IAM architectures

  • Clean Documentation, and Scalable Code: You are passionate about writing clean, efficient, and scalable code that will grow with the platform. Ability to produce high-quality process documentation for knowledge transfer.

  • Proficiency with Testing Tools and CICD: Experience with GroovySpock, JUnit, Jest, or similar testing frameworks. Comfortable maintaining Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines to ensure smooth, automated deployment processes.

The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position.  Datasite reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

$96,500.00 - $168,400.00
