The Role
The Quality Control Specialist, based in Austin Texas, will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through the effective management of the Overhaul Quality Program and is responsible for inbound material inspections, outbound shipment audits, as well as return merchandise processing of vendor devices, for Overhaul Global Fulfillment Centers. The role is also responsible for creating, monitoring and auditing operating procedures to ensure shipments conform to applicable regulatory and customer requirements at all Fulfillment centers. The role's main KPI is to ensure >=99.8% hardware quality to external customers.
This individual shall be detailed oriented, self-motivated, results driven, and possess excellent organizational and communications skills in order to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Duties Include, but Will Not be Limited to:

  • Conduct quality inspections for any incoming shipment, including direct and indirect materials that support Fulfillment operations, as per Overhaul receiving standards and guidelines:
    • Create & maintain quality control checklists
    • Pass and release to Fulfillment teams for inventory storage
    • Reject and return to vendor for repair or additional document support
    • Maintain and inspect daily logs and monthly reports
    • Address quality issues with vendors, internal stakeholders, external customers, and seek resolution
  • Audit daily global order pipelines, update audit logs, and follow up on any corrective actions if discrepancies are found:
    • Track/Maintain customer order requirements, device profiles, Overhaul routing guides, shipping standards, packing lists and invoices
    • Verify system upload templates, Device Manager inputs, vendor platform settings
    • Audit log and quality level dashboard maintenance
  • Investigate any fulfillment related quality issues reported by customers or internal stakeholders
    • Create and execute corrective and preventative action plan
  • Triage defective or unserviceable devices, RMA processing with vendors, facilitate return documents
  • Facilitate cycle count and physical inventory, help resolve any system data integrity issues
    • Inventory audit report
    • System reconciliation with Supply Planning and Finance team
  • Adhere to any quality protocols and SOPs
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor


Technical Requirement:

  • Intermediate PC skills: Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of ISO quality standards and basic QA/QC functions
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and understand warehouse ERP systems.
  • Work experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Logistics, or Warehousing is preferred
