Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior/Lead Salesforce Developer/QA who will be responsible for reviewing code from development team, testing, validating, and ensuring the quality of Salesforce implementations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Salesforce administration or development and a keen eye for spotting discrepancies in system performance, data integrity, or intended functionality. This position will consist of approximately 20% coding, 20% business acumen, 60% QA/Testing.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Peer Review of Code: Review code written by vendor development team and ensure it meets code quality standards and best practices.
  • Test Planning & Execution: Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts for Salesforce customizations including code, flows, and integrations.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform manual and automated testing to identify bugs, errors, or discrepancies in the Salesforce environment. Ensure all aspects of functionality, performance, and usability standards are met.
  • Defect Management: Document, track, and manage defects using Jira. Collaborate with developers to resolve issues, ensuring all issues are addressed prior to UAT and product release.
  • Test Automation: Create automated scripts utilizing tools such at UIPath or Selenium
  • Regression Testing: Conduct thorough regression testing after each release and update to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Coordinate with end-users to perform UAT, gather feedback, and ensure the software meets user requirements and expectations.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to testing procedures, findings, and solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features and testing methodologies. Recommend improvements to testing processes and tools.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure all testing aligns with compliance standards specific to the industry (like SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA if applicable) and Salesforce security best practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Development, Delivery, QA testing, with a majority focused on Salesforce.
    • Experience with Salesforce configurations, customizations, and understanding of Salesforce Sales and Service data models.
    • Strong Salesforce business analysis skills and experience with focus on helping business improve their processes and efficiency in Salesforce
    • Sales Cloud and Service Cloud familiarity
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Salesforce administration and development.
    • Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, UIPath, or Salesforce's own testing framework.
    • Knowledge of API testing for integration purposes.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills for writing documentation and interacting with cross-functional and business teams.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Salesforce Certifications:
    • Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified App Builder, or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer are required to demonstrate technical knowledge of the platform
  • Mindset: Candidate needs to have growth-mindset, open to new challenges and opportunities, go-getter, self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of our business and technology landscape; continuously improving.
  • Team Player: Candidate needs to have ‘can-do’ attitude and be a great team player

Preferred:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with SOQL, SOSL, Apex, JavaScript, and Flows
  • Experience: Marketing Cloud, Financial Services Cloud preferred
