At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.

The Talent Management team at Coinbase is responsible for supporting leaders to assess and segment their talent, so that they can reward high performance, drive continuous development, and maximize the talent density of their team. We partner closely with disciplines across our People Success Team to deliver this across a range of Talent Management programs, including performance and promotion cycles, feedback tools and talent reviews. We lean into experimentation and innovation of our programs to ensure we’re cultivating a talent mix that is building Coinbase into a generational company.

This role reports to the Head of Talent Management and will take end-to-end ownership of one or more world-class talent management programs, from design through implementation and iteration.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Delivering the end-to-end execution of our programs in partnership with key People teams (i.e. HRBPs, People Analytics, HR Tech) by creating clear project plans, stakeholder maps, toolkits, comms/enablement and more
  • Driving awareness & adoption of our programs by developing and deploying clear and concise communication and enablement plans for employees
  • Digging into reporting and analytics to identify program impact, insights, and emerging trends that will inform future program iteration
  • Assessing and evolving our processes and tools to enable and measure talent programs

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years experience delivering People programs from design through implementation and iteration
    • Experience…
      • In one or more fast-paced, high-growth companies
      • Building programs inspired by and aligned with company culture
      • Adapting and evolving people programs through multiple iterations
      • Building trusted relationships with cross-functional partners at all levels
      • Managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and coalition-building with cross-functional partners
    • Ability to…
      • Effectively communicate with employees and managers of all levels
      • Manage competing stakeholder demands and resolve diverse input to build alignment across teams
      • Interpret and translate data into actionable strategy and to answer complex questions
      • Think through second- and third-order impacts of program design at the individual, team, and enterprise level
      • Maintain a deep sense of empathy and understanding for the needs of diverse groups of people
      • Anticipate employee needs and questions, and build scalable systems to support them
      • Multitask, perform under pressure, and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

Nice to haves:

  • Experience designing and delivering programs in performance management, promotion cycles, talent planning
