Senior Program Manager 

What You’ll Do 

The Senior Program Manager will work with a cross-functional team of Product Management, Software, Hardware, QA, Sales, Marketing, and others to plan, execute, and launch new SonicWall firewalls and firewall software. You are responsible for managing the product lifecycle from concept to market launch while maintaining program schedules, budget, scope, and quality. This includes working with external labs and internal teams to achieve regulatory and other government/security certifications. This position reports to the Director of Program Management in the United States. 

Who You Are 

You are an authority in the development and manufacturing of hardware appliances in the network security field. You are a leader who steers a cross functional team to achieve a common set of goals. You possess: 

  • Extraordinary program management skills in the definition, planning, execution, and launch of new cybersecurity products. 
  • Deep experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve results by identifying and aligning to shared goals and priorities. Able to hold peers, partners, and yourself accountable. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to build relationships and partnerships with people of all levels and functions across the company to achieve common goals.  
  • An understanding of firewall products, supply chain, manufacturing, and hardware development methodologies. 
  • Knowledge of certification programs such as FIPS, Common Criteria, DoDIN and CSfC. 
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to lead teams to solve complex technical and business problems. 
  • Involvement with third party contracts and management of outsourced activities / deliveries to meet project timelines. 
  • The ability to influence key partners, senior leaders, and external partners. 
  • Experience establishing repeatable processes to optimize the delivery of future products. 
  • The desire to drive continuous improvement. 

What You Bring: 

  • 10+ years minimum experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or product development.
  • 5+ years of Program Management experience with complex hardware and software programs.
  • Expertise working on new product introductions with manufacturers, suppliers, and product development teams. 
  • Proficiency with project management and product development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Agile PLM, and MS Project / Smartsheets.
  • BA/BS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience. 

You have an advantage if you possess: 

  • Previous successful certification of network security products to FIPS, Common Criteria, DoDIN and/or CSfC standards.
  • PMP Certification.
