As the Product Marketing Director, you will partner with technology and sales organizations to develop and execute marketing plans and commercialize new product technology. You will lead a team of 3 to 5 Product Marketing Managers and Marketing Specialists to create, implement, and measure the success of annual segment marketing plans that include products, services, segment-level solutions, and digital offerings.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving customer focus by leading the development of differentiated positioning, messaging, and value propositions
  • Gathering and synthesizing data to develop a comprehensive understanding of target markets, target personas, and the competitive landscape  
  • Managing the development and execution of campaigns in alignment with market positioning themes and sales & commercial goals
  • Partnering with the product line and segment leadership teams to align new product marketing strategy with the product commercialization business case and product line objectives
  • Participating in product line technology development gate reviews and serve as part of the commercialization review for go/no-go decisions for product launches
  • Ensuring alignment of internal and external launch preparation and activities so that stakeholders, influencers, and users are informed, trained, and ready to sell
  • Tracking product commercialization and campaign key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust activities as needed to drive results
  • Managing product line and segment brand strategy including brand architecture, trademarks, and evaluation of brand equity
  • Creating and managing the development and inventory of compelling, original content to support product commercialization and promotion of existing products and solutions. This content can range from sales collateral, presentations, case studies and articles to video, webpages and social media posts
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with product line and product segment leaders
  • Managing opportunities to showcase Baker Hughes technologies and solutions at conferences and in external media
  • Collaborating with other product segment marketers, HQ Brand, OFSE Communications, and HQ Communications teams to execute communications and media activities
  • Designing and tracking KPI’s to track marketing program performance
  • Supporting the development and growth of Product Marketing Managers and Specialists through management and mentoring

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field. Masters degree preferred
  • Have 15+ years of marketing experience
  • Have a clear understanding of B2B value chains and customer drivers
  • Have knowledge of oil and gas upstream markets, technology, and drivers
  • Have a consistent record of success in go-to market launches
  • Have experience with marketing technology systems, associated channels, and related data analytics
  • Have high fluency in innovation processes
  • Be able to synthesize market data and analyze business performance metrics
  • Be able to articulate the essence of complex products and the value they create
  • Be able to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Be fluent in written, digital, and visual storytelling
  • Have proven leadership experience managing global teams
  • Have experience leading the development and execution of annual plans and budgets
