About You:

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Product Manager to lead our New Homes Customer Experience team. Based in Austin, TX (hybrid) this role will be instrumental in helping Hippo deliver strong business results in one of our key business lines, providing insurance solutions for new-construction homes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop the product strategy and roadmap for our New Homes Customer Experience & Sales charter, helping our customers to easily obtain affordable insurance for their new construction homes, and enabling our agents to serve them efficiently
  • Act as the product champion within the company and communicate your product strategy effectively to stakeholders
  • Be a contributing member of a high-performing, collaborative product team to help foster a culture of impact, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, data, marketing, sales, partnerships, and business teams to bring products and features from concept to adoption. Ensure timely and successful delivery of features that meet stakeholder needs and drive business value
  • Use qualitative research and data analysis to deeply understand your customers, their needs, and opportunities. Leverage that knowledge to define feature requirements that deliver impact
  • Serve as the key point of contact for leadership, providing regular updates on product performance, progress, opportunities, and challenges. Present and advocate for product decisions with clear, actionable insights
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within our product portfolio. Proactively identify new opportunities to enhance our offerings or create new products that serve the needs of our customers
  • Set goals and KPIs to track and manage progress toward your product strategy and business goals

Must Haves:

  • 2+ years of experience in product management, including complete ownership of a backlog and end-to-end software development lifecycle with a team of at least four engineers
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering high-impact products. Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve ambitious goals. Demonstrated success in earning the trust of stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives. Strong leadership presence and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate people at all levels from executives to ICs across a broad variety of job functions
  • Strong ability to think strategically and develop product roadmaps. Familiar balancing long-term vision with short-term execution priorities. Cultivates a deep understanding of business, technology, and customer needs and how to translate them into innovative product solutions
  • Curious, self-motivated and passionate about finding and solving problems. Willing to roll up your sleeves to directly execute. Come up with hypotheses, implement, measure, and iterate toward success. Eagerly embraces complex, ambiguous, volatile situations
  • Data-driven decision-making skills and a deep understanding of metrics that drive product success. Ability to quickly analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement
  • Strong practical data analytics skills including SQL, BI-tool dashboards, Excel workflows, etc
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate product strategies, goals, and roadmaps to diverse audiences, including senior executives, engineers, designers, and customers
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is preferred but not required
