Product Manager III: We're expanding our team with a proven track record of delivering a best-in-class DBasS platform – ObjectRocket. You'll have the opportunity to work with a strong team of Engineers, DBAs, and support staff working on large-scale distributed enterprise systems. You'llll drive the success of our services by supporting the organization and ensuring our customers receive the best quality product possible.  

 

Work Location: US-Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and influence a cross-functional team to create products that delivers business and operational value to our customers. 
  • Collaborate with Director of Product on vision and product strategy 
  • Own the product roadmap and drive development of new products and enhancements of existing products.  
  • Research and identify new DBasS and DB managed service market opportunities 
  • Break down and prioritize delivery of products and features by developing and maintaining the product backlog, user stories, and cross-product dependencies 
  • Elicit, identify, document, and refine requirements from business problems to detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that may include technical requirements 
  • Listen, learn, and advocate for the needs of customers, engineers, and stakeholders  
  • Proactively manage, communicate, and collaborate with customers, engineers, DBAs, support, and other stakeholders to analyze information and functional requirements 
  • Help drive the development process through to implementation, and ensure the deliverables meet business and customer needs. 
  • Track and report on teamwork completed, capacity, backlog, velocity, etc. 
  • Create and analyze metrics and feedback to improve organization, processes, best practices, performance, and delivery. 
  • Cultivate relationships customers and across ObjectRocket and Rackspace teams 
  • Become the authority on DBaaS products and services and how to best serve customer needs. 
  • Assist with deployments and production support issues as a point of escalation.  

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of product management, preferably in B2B, DBaaS, SaaS, or large-scale cloud products.  
  • Experience with managed services, and a proven track record of successfully providing quality products 
  • Proven track record managing the entire product lifecycle: defining business problems, researching customer needs, prototyping, and testing new solutions, working with engineering teams, and prioritizing an Agile development backlog and Roadmap. 
  • Excellent communications and influencing skills across all levels of a large organization, as well as with external customers and partners. 
  • Experience working with databases, DBAs, and support staff 
  • Ability to launch innovative products 
  • Ability to own execution without continuous oversight 
  • Ability to lead large, cross-functional teams to achieve business goals and results  
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively and independently  
  • Experience with Atlassian products, specifically Jira and Confluence 
  • Ability to work within a remote team

The following information is required by pay transparency legislation in the following states: CA, CO, HI, NY, and WA. This information applies only to individuals working in these states.

 

·       The anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: $96,800 - $142,010.

·       The anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $103,100 - $151,140.

·       The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City and Washington is: $112,900 - $165,550.

 

Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. #LI-MF1
