About the Opportunity: We are a leading SaaS-based financial technology firm specializing in mortgage servicing solutions. We are seeking a Product Compliance Business Analyst to join our Compliance Department, focusing on ensuring our software aligns with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal compliance policies. In this role, you will analyze business needs, assess compliance risks, and support the development of solutions that enhance regulatory adherence within our products.


Your day-to-day at Sagent:

Product Compliance & Business Process Analysis:

  • Analyze and document business requirements related to compliance in mortgage servicing software, ensuring alignment with CFPB, FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and refine compliance workflows within the product, ensuring efficient implementation of loan servicing rules, escrow management, loss mitigation, and borrower communications.
  • Support compliance-driven enhancements, ensuring product features meet evolving state and federal mortgage servicing regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into product development and updates.
  • Act as a bridge between mortgage servicing operations teams and product development, translating compliance requirements into actionable system enhancements.
  • Work with external auditors, government agencies, and mortgage industry partners as needed to provide compliance documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory expectations.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain compliance reports and dashboards to monitor regulatory adherence, risk mitigation efforts, and policy enforcement within the mortgage servicing platform.
  • Validate system outputs related to compliance monitoring and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to address discrepancies or gaps.

Risk Identification & Compliance Support:

  • Support  Sagent’s ability to effectively track and respond to regulatory changes and system enhancements that support servicer compliance.
  • Document and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and control frameworks within the software to support audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in implementing compliance monitoring tools within the mortgage servicing platform to enhance transparency and risk management.

Technical Knowledge Utilization:

  • Utilize knowledge of mortgage servicing regulations, risk management frameworks, and industry best practices to support product development.
  • Work with development teams to implement compliance-driven system enhancements for escrow analysis, loan modification processing, and regulatory reporting.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for compliance-related software updates to ensure accuracy and alignment with business needs.


We would love to hear from you if you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Regulatory Compliance, or relevant discipline with 2 - 4 years of experience in a related field. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated expertise in product compliance within the financial or technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Ability to provide guidance on compliance matters to cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk activities, and physical security systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
