This position will work within a team inside our Austin, TX headquarters. 

About the position:   

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our company. This role offers the opportunity to grow and lead our engineering team. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on our success! You will work with a team to advance our cumulative technology knowledge. To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about solving common challenges in unique ways and highly skilled at finding problems and implementing solutions to improve the product. If you are ready to work with and continually optimize a product that directly impacts our clients, we would love to talk with you. 

 As a Principal Software Engineer at Talroo, you will:   

• Explore all the latest technologies, attend most of the available technology conferences, and report/train the rest of the team with your understanding of industry trends 
• Test new platforms to gain understanding of what each new platform is and why they are designed in the way they are.
• Seamlessly collaborate with Product Team to enhance our current product offerings with new technology ideas.
• Lead current team with infrastructure/cloud (e.g. AWS) knowledge 

What we are looking for in a highly qualified candidate:   

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering 
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science from a top university 
• Proficient in Cloud Technologies (AWS), and Data Engineering 
• Eager to stay ahead of the latest industry trend and can travel frequently to technology conferences. 
• Collaborative communicator with product managers, and mentor to junior engineers.
• Must reside in the greater Austin metro area or be wiling to relocate to the Austin area (Relocation Reimbursement will be offered)
