We are looking for a Principal Product Manager who will drive strategic product initiatives to deliver solutions for data flow automation, metadata management and best practices, and SDTM/ADaM automation. Your day to day: 


Define Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Craft and own the product vision, roadmap, and requirements for clinical data repository, clinical metadata management, SDTM/ADaM automation, and related features
  • Translate market insights, regulatory requirements, and customer feedback into actionable product plans that align with eClinical Solutions’ strategic objectives

Champion Metadata Best Practices, SDTM & ADaM Automation

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on clinical data standards (including CDISC) and workflows for automating SDTM and ADaM mapping and transformations
  • Oversee development of AI-enabled capabilities, advanced tools and features that reduce manual effort in converting raw EDC data to SDTM- and ADaM-compliant datasets, ensuring a seamless flow from data collection to analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, UX Design, Data Science) to embed automation best practices and AI into our solutions, driving efficiency and consistency in dataset creation

Lead User-Centered Design Initiatives

  • Partner with UX/UI designers to create highly intuitive, scalable product features that address user needs across data mapping, standardization, and analysis
  • Advocate for ongoing product discovery and user testing, ensuring a seamless and engaging product experience that meets or exceeds customer expectations

Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Engage with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Business Development, and Marketing) to align on product goals, AI and automation strategies, and timelines
  • Communicate product roadmap, status updates, and release plans to stakeholders and leadership, clearly articulating trade-offs and impacts

Mentor & Influence

  • Provide guidance to junior product managers, empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed to drive product success
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the product organization, emphasizing best practices for metadata governance and end-to-end data standardization

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 8+ years of product management experience (5+ in enterprise SaaS products) in life sciences, healthcare, or related fields preferred
  • Proven success developing and executing product roadmaps for complex data management or clinical technology solutions
  • Familiarity with design and deployment of AI-powered product, including collaboration with data scientists
  • Experience leveraging AI-driven methods (e.g., machine learning, intelligent automation) to accelerate data transformation
  • Experience collaborating with UX designers and leveraging user research methods (e.g., wireframing, prototyping, usability testing)


Professional Skills

  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to rally teams around a shared vision
  • Skilled at managing stakeholder expectations and clearly explaining the nuances of SDTM/ADaM automation to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven track record of working seamlessly with cross-functional partners, including engineering, data, design, and marketing
  • Committed to developing talent, sharing knowledge, and propelling team success
  • Passion for crafting intuitive user experiences that drive engagement, efficiency, and adoption


Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with GxP, EMA (ICH E6) and FDA guidelines, and other regulations that inform clinical data product decisions
  • Hands-on experience with automated workflows for transforming raw clinical data into submission-ready tabulation (SDTM) and analysis (ADaM) datasets
  • Familiarity with clinical metadata repositories, particularly Open Study Builder (OSB)
  • Deep understanding of clinical metadata standards, CDISC SDTM and ADaM, and data governance framework
