DIRECTV is seeking a Principal, IT Software Engineer (ForgeRock Dev Lead), to design and develop end-to end solutions, managing dependencies and cross-team impacts. This role is responsible for planning short term (sprint-to-sprint) and long-term (multiple PI) initiatives and organizing work and designs to meet the long-term target.

Here’s what you’ll do: 

  • Mentor and guide team members on the Scrum team or development team by providing insight into technical approach.
  • Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed by the development team and participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate with designers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions and ensure applications meet performance standards.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects to define DIRECTV future state application environments and plan for exiting applications.
  • Work across the Corporate Systems team to develop and manage sustaining and enhancing budgets for all projects.
  • Oversee the integration team which facilitates transactions among Corporate Systems applications and external sources.
  • Manage risk and request help from leadership, when necessary, to meet commitments or change directions.
  • Active participant in the development community (Business Unit) to promote best practices through educating peers.

What you’ll need to be successful: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • 3-5 years of software delivery experience in an agile environment, supporting mobile first cloud-based applications.
  • Requirements: Good understanding of ForgeRock platform access and identity management.
  • Hands-on experience developing ForgeRock journeys with focus on SSO, Access management, Identity Federation, Multi-factor authentication, Risk-based authentication, etc.
  • Experience with NodeJS and ReactJS frameworks required.
  • Skilled in working with REST and SOAP based web-services preferred.
  • Previous working knowledge with Postman, SOAPUI, Mockito preferred.
  • Experience with deploying and debugging AWS based applications.
  • Excellent communications skills, written and verbal. 
  • A bias for action and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. 
  • Independent problem solver with a customer- and client-focused approach. 
  • May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer’s proprietary data. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction will be considered for employment in accordance with local ordinances and state law.

This role may require occasional travel, less than 5%.

This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States. #LI-Remote

It is the company's policy to offer pay that is competitive with other employers in the local market. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. 

  

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

  

DIRECTV WAGE ZONES: $127,965 - $232,415 

Low (N1): $127,965 - $191,995

Mid (N2): $134,700 - $202,100

High (N3): $148,170 - $222,310

Top (N4): $154,905 - $232,415
