**This is a Hybrid role requiring 2 days a week in a Wolters Kluwer office**

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Principal Application & Product Architect to lead the direction and design of the technology initiatives within Legal & Regulatory US (LRUS) in alignment with our global architectural vision. As a direct report to the Director of Technology for the United States, you will serve as a pivotal technical advisor. Your role will involve promoting alignment and efficiencies across the portfolio, ensuring adherence to security and privacy standards, addressing technical debt, and leading innovation with a particular emphasis on AI and Generative AI technologies.

Responsibilities:

·Portfolio Alignment: Lead the architectural vision for a diverse portfolio of legal and regulatory products, each supported by its own technical team, in alignment with our evolving global architecture. Strategize on achieving alignment and operational efficiencies across the portfolio, fostering collaboration and the sharing of best practices.

·Technical Leadership and Advisory: Serve as the primary technical advisor to the Director of Technology for the United States, offering expert guidance on technology strategy, architecture, and implementation.

·Security and Privacy Compliance: Guarantee compliance with current security and privacy regulations across all products and systems. Instill a security-first mindset within technical teams to ensure the protection of customer data and adherence to regulatory obligations.

·Technical Debt Resolution: Actively manage and mitigate technical debt within the portfolio, prioritizing initiatives that enhance system performance and maintainability.

·Innovation and AI Integration: Champion the exploration and integration of AI and Generative AI technologies to drive innovation, improve product offerings, and create competitive advantages. Ensure the adoption of modern architectural patterns, including micro-frontends, to facilitate a more dynamic and scalable product development environment.

·Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside development teams, business stakeholders, and global technology leaders to ensure a unified and effective technology strategy that aligns with business objectives.

·Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor technical team members across various projects, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and technological excellence. Encourage the adoption of innovative technologies and practices, including AI and Generative AI, to keep the organization at the forefront of technological advancements

Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

·Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical architecture, with a strong track record in leading complex technology initiatives and managing product portfolios.

·Expertise in security and privacy protocols relevant to legal and regulatory frameworks.

·Demonstrated experience with AI and Generative AI technologies, and how they can be applied to enhance product development and business strategies.

·Good understanding of W3C recommendations, e.g., RDF, SKOS, SHACL, HTML, XML, JSON

·Experience developing or using knowledge models based on W3C standards (RDF, OWL, SKOS, etc.)

·Basic understanding of knowledge and knowledge organization systems, i.e., what is content, what is metadata, what is a taxonomy, what is an ontology, what is a graph, etc.

·Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with the skill to influence decisions and convey complex technical strategies to a non-technical audience.

·Experience developing or using data schemas in applications

·Experience developing or using knowledge organization systems; such controlled vocabularies, taxonomies

·Experience integrating ontologies, such as Dublin Core, FRBR, FOAF, etc.

·Proficient in modern architectural patterns, including micro-frontends, and their implementation in scalable, enterprise environments.

·Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and technical debt management.

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, DC, HI, IL, MD, MN, NY, RI, WA: $183,700 - $260,050
