Job Overview:

LPL Financial is seeking a Principal Analyst to work within its growing Information Security department reporting to the VP, Threat and Incident Response.  The Principal Analyst will be responsible for leading and implementing the development of intelligence strategies and providing advanced threat analysis. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand and mitigate cyber risks at an operational and strategic level.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the collection, analysis and dissemination of threat intelligence to stakeholders and their teams.

  • Provide strategic briefings to senior leaders throughout the organization.

  • Develop threat intelligence use cases and processes.

  • Guide peer teams on integrating threat intelligence into proactive defensive strategies.

  • Engage and collaborate with peers in intelligence-sharing and ad-hoc forums.

  • Conduct deep-dive analysis of emerging threats, new technologies, and business ventures to inform senior leaders of associated organizational risks.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience of in cyber threat intelligence.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience using threat intelligence frameworks.

  • Technical proficiency in threat intelligence tools such as TIPs, SIEMs, and similar platforms.

  • Experience working with peer organizations, threat sharing communities, law enforcement, and government agencies.

  • Formal intelligence training or certifications such as SANS GCTI or EC-Council CTIA.

Preferences:

  • Experience with a SIEM and/or big data analytics platforms preferred (MAPR/Hadoop, etc.)

  • Experience with multiple operating systems to include Windows, Mac OS, and Unix/Linux

  • Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative IT environment. Highly self-motivated, directed, and can work independently without supervision

  • Background in the financial industry

Pay Range:

$143,100-$238,500/year
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
