What we’re looking for:

As the People Business Partner Manager, you play a critical role in developing and supporting the execution of talent management programs and processes that are cascaded down from the APAC Director of Talent. The programs are focused on attracting, retaining and developing top talent at Tarro. Our talent programs and initiatives are created to be in line with the overarching people strategy at Tarro.

The talent management programs and processes include Performance Management, including performance calibration, Talent Review/Succession Planning, Promotions, Compensation Planning as well as supporting the development and growth of our People Managers as a coach and partner with front line managers to support the overarching employee experience.

What you’ll accomplish: 

  • You will work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention

  • You will resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances

  • You will provide HR policy guidance

  • You will analyze trends and metrics with the People department 

  • You will support and execute HR initiatives to achieve our overall business goals

  • You will identify training needs for teams and individuals

  • You will recommend initiatives that integrate business strategy with people management practices

  • You will drive efficiency, standardization and strategic HR impact 

  • You will collaborate and align with other HR functions and business leaders on selection and retention of employees according to the relevant competencies of each role as stated in the Tarro Job Architecture.

 

One year deliverables: 

  • Support the Global Talent Management Director with the harmonization of performance management processes

  • Provide insights and represent the nuances of the Kuala Lumpur office and local compliance so they align with the global talent management framework with an understanding of the local culture and nomenclature

  • Build relationships with frontline managers and leaders, establishing yourself as an expert and consultant in supporting their department goals with employee relations, retention as well as talent planning and forecasting

 

About you: 

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management or relevant field

  • You have at least 5 years experience in a Employee Relations with 2 years experience in managerial role

  • You have experience working in data, reporting and analytics

  • You have excellent written and verbal communications

  • You have experience in supporting a global organization, rolling out globally aligned talent programs within a local context

 

Bonus points: 

  • You have experience in a consumer driven industry with a passion for the customer.

  • You have experience working with Rippling, BambooHR, Confirm and/or Pave.

  • You have experience working as a HRBP or have employee relations certifications

  • You have a roll up your sleeves mentality with current or prior experience working in a fast paced, collaborative, highly ambiguous environment frequently wearing more than one hat.
