We started in self storage and are rapidly expanding our suite of products. We believe traditional commercial insurance can be distributed faster and cheaper. To do that, we’ve brought the entire insurance value chain—distribution, underwriting, and tech—under one roof to drive excellence and innovation in an industry that’s ripe for disruption.

SafeLease is not just another insurance agency. We’ve built our own technology stack to expedite quoting, efficiently service insureds, and handle claims in-house. In addition, we have our own reinsurance business. These are a few differentiators that give us a leg up on competition.

We are on the hunt for P&C Insurance Sales Executives to join our team to help build out a new line of business in 2025. SafeLease is launching a property and casualty product that has been built from the ground up and tailored for self-storage. There are over 50,000 self-storage facilities in the United States and skyrocketing insurance premiums have become a major pain point in the industry. SafeLease’s new P&C product aims to help facility owners solve that pain with the most customizable product available. 

About The Role

We have big aspirations for this business segment and are looking for entrepreneurial team members who share the same level of ambition.

In this role you will:

  • Build relationships with owners and key stakeholders of self-storage properties across the United States

  • Quote and sell both new and renewal property and casualty insurance policies 

  • Tailor policy coverages and deductibles to the unique needs of the customer

  • Collaborate with underwriters and ensure they have all necessary information in a timely and efficient manner

  • Work in close coordination with the SafeLease sales team to provide customers with great buying experiences 

  • Assist with questions regarding coverages, premiums, endorsements, accounting, or claims as needed

  • Attend various industry events, infrequent travel may be required


About You

  • 5+ years selling property and casualty insurance, license in good standing

  • Top tier networker - Someone who enjoys building relationships with executives and has a proven ability to maintain a large book of relationships

  • Excellent written and communication and professional presentation skills 

  • Technical insurance knowledge - demonstrate high degree of knowledge of insurance coverage forms and policies

  • Motivated to help build out and establish a new line of business within a fast growing insurance startup

  • Experience with non-admitted/surplus lines policies a plus

  • Self-storage industry or general commercial real estate experience a plus
