As Five9 continues its rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced and driven Partner Development Director to expand our industry-leading partner ecosystem. This key role within our Sales organization reports to the Senior Director, Strategic Alliances and is responsible for driving new routes to market, accelerating partner success, and scaling customer experience solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Five9 Strategic Global Partner Program, managing the sale of Five9 products and services through key partners.
  • Develop and execute a scalable business plan to expand the partner ecosystem across multiple disciplines.
  • Drive partner enablement throughout the customer journey, fostering strong relationships with distributors, resellers, and agents.
  • Establish Five9’s customer experience solutions as the preferred choice within partner portfolios.
  • Oversee global sales performance and pipeline development with major strategic partners, particularly IBM.
  • Identify, recruit, and expand high-value strategic partner relationships to accelerate growth.
  • Align closely with Five9 Sales and Channel teams to enhance partner engagement and elevate visibility.
  • Develop and implement partner training, enablement, and certification programs to drive adoption and sales success.
  • Structure and negotiate partnership agreements that create mutual value and business growth.
  • Define engagement models for ISVs and development partners to integrate with strategic offerings.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software sales, partner development, or business development within cloud-based Customer Experience solutions.
  • Proven ability to establish, maintain, and grow strategic partnerships, with a strong emphasis on sales execution.
  • Strong operational, analytical, and strategic planning skills to drive business outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and project management abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Contact Center solutions, VoIP, and cloud collaboration (CCaaS, UCaaS).
  • Track record of managing partnerships with consulting firms and system integrators for enterprise SaaS solutions.
  • Technical knowledge of CRM platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Microsoft, Oracle).
  • Experience with AI solutions, including IBM WatsonX, Google Dialogflow, and Generative AI capabilities (Conversational AI, Agent Assist, Knowledge Search, Analytics).
  • Demonstrated success in co-developing solutions and executing GTM strategies with strategic partners.

Work Location: This role is fully remote for candidates who reside outside the 50 mile radius of our San Ramon office.  For candidates who reside within 50 miles of our San Ramon location, this role is Hybrid and would require 3 days a week (M, W, TH) in our San Ramon office.

The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the job across the United States. Additionally, the total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.

All compensation and benefits are subject to the requirements and restrictions set forth in the applicable plan documents and any written agreements between the parties.

The US base salary range for this role is below.

$123,300$191,200 USD
