Outbound Logistics Lead (Education)

The Outbound Logistics Lead will be responsible for managing and optimizing shipments for customers within the Education and Strategic Partnership Teams. This role will focus on carrier management, order fulfillment, transportation planning, and process improvement to drive efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in logistics, supply chain operations, and data-driven to make decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage outbound logistics operations for education and strategic partnerships ranging from parcels to LTL shipments.

  • Coordinate with warehouse and 3Pl partners, internal teams and customers to execute on order requests and projects.

  • Create Commercial Invoices for International shipments. Experience shipping to Europe and East Coast (US) is highly desired.

  • Provide shipment reports and act as the first point of contact for shipment status requests.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and fulfillment issues to minimize disruptions.

  • Oversee daily data entry of shipments for education and marketing teams.

  • Execute and track reports on all shipments and transfers.

  • Act as a liaison with the third-party warehouses with respect to daily operations.

  • Maintain and improve day-to-day operations at warehousing facilities: processing inbounds, pick and packing orders, processing returns

  • Perform regular visits to warehousing facilities to check inventory, quality and everyday shipping operations.

  • Foster and maintain professional, efficient, positive relationships with vendors, venues, clients, and internal teams through email & phone communication

  • Support other supply chain projects and initiatives.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in logistics, supply chain, or customer service

  • Intermediate to advance excel skills

  • High attention to detail, highly organized. Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to support multiple internal teams

  • Ability to efficiently work under pressure regarding quick timelines. Ability to make quick level-headed decisions

  • Should possess knowledge of 3PL, courier services, freight forwarders, international shipping services & requirements

  • Availability and willingness to work differentiating hours, not always 9 am -5 pm

  • Superb interpersonal skills and communicates well with a variety of audiences.

  • Comfort and/or experience in a fast-paced, growing environment.

  • Entrepreneurial, organized, trustworthy, highly autonomous, and comfortable

    traveling

Job Location

  • Hybrid - NYC. Office is located in the Bowery neighborhood. Onsite Tuesday and Thursday required
