About your role:

As a Givelify Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in building and enhancing our cutting-edge applications. You'll work closely with our talented engineering team, contributing to various projects and learning the ins and outs of the software development life cycle. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to apply your coding skills, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and make a real impact. 

Your team:

Our cross-functional engineering team is passionate about delivering exceptional experiences to our Donors and Giving Partners. With over 1 million donors and a 5-star app rating, we champion their needs and build award-winning UI/UX. Together, we make giving a beautiful experience, connecting people with the causes they care about. 

You will get to: 

  • Take ownership of specific coding tasks and features, allowing you to see your work come to life 
  • Collaborate and get mentored by experienced engineers, learning best practices and contributing to team goals
  • Participate in code reviews and receive constructive feedback to enhance your coding skills
  • Gain valuable experience in an agile development environment, where your contributions directly affect our software's success 

To be successful in this role, you’ll also: 

  • Partner and learn from other software engineers, DevOps engineers, and test automation engineers in a very agile cross-functional team

Your experience: 

  • Prior software development Internships or experience
  • High School degree  
  • Basic software development proficiency  
  • Presentation at conferences and research work is a plus  

Your superpowers: 

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, able to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative, and distributed team environment 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
