We are looking for a Medical Director/Sr. Medical Director to join Tempus as the medical lead for Tempus' TIME Trials program Medical Leads in the TIME Trials group  work closely with a multidisciplinary group of data scientists, operational personnel and site specialists to execute a large portfolio of cancer clinical trials, build relationships between Tempus and external collaborators, and support clinical trial operations and enrollment. In addition, Time Medical Leads collaborate with other business units within the organization, providing critical medical input to advance various Tempus AI initiatives. Suitable candidates must have experience in clinical research, especially in the areas of oncology, precision medicine, device and/or drug development. Great communication and relationship-building skills with external medical directors, key opinion leaders and investigators, CRO personnel and external study teams is a must. This position will report to the Vice President of Clinical Research. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Serving as a medical lead for Tempus TIME Program 
  • Works well in a matrix environment and able to interface with multidisciplinary teams including biostatistics, R&D scientists, bioinformatics, operations, legal, business development, scientific communications, marketing, regulatory, and more 
  • Contribute to and execute our strategy with positive attitude 

Requirements:

  • MD or Pharm D degree. Advanced training in Oncology preferred. 
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical research experience required.  Could be in the Clinical Research Organization, biotechnology or pharmaceutical company, or academic research setting
  • Previous experience leading teams 
  • Experience with site engagement and operations in clinical research settings
  • Strong communication skills regarding the Tempus mission and strengths, including oral and written communication skills 
  • Able to work well with external investigators including key opinion leaders 
  • Innovative thinking regarding study execution

The expected salary range below is applicable if the role is performed from [Remote] and may vary for other locations. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits, depending on the position.

Remote - USA Range

$275,000$310,000 USD
