Brightspot is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Product Marketing to lead and execute the product marketing strategy for our content management system. The Director of Product Marketing will be a key member of the marketing team and will play a crucial role in the successful pricing, positioning, packaging, promotion, and adoption of the Brightspot platform in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Product Positioning and Messaging:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Brightspot's CMS solutions and their unique value propositions.
  • Craft clear, compelling product positioning and messaging that resonate with target audiences, including customers, prospects, and partners.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: 
  • Refine ICP and market segments to support a successful go-to-market
  • Lead the development of go-to-market strategies for new product launches and major feature updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of go-to-market plans.
  • Pricing & Packaging:
  • Conduct pricing analysis to ensure Brightspot is priced appropriately in market.
  • Work cross-functionally to define packages that align with key segments and use cases.
  • Market Research:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer pain points, challenges, and opportunities to refine the go-to-market approach.
  • Sales Enablement:
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and deliver effective sales training materials, presentations, and tools.
  • Ensure sales representatives have the knowledge and resources needed to sell Brightspot's products effectively.
  • Product Launches:
  • Plan and execute product launch campaigns, including coordinating product demos, webinars, and events.
  • Measure and analyze the success of product launches, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Use data and analytics to measure the impact of product marketing efforts and make data-driven decisions to optimize strategies.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the technology or software industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and cross-functional collaborations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A deep understanding of digital experience platforms, content management systems, and related technologies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Demonstrated success in product launches and go-to-market strategies.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to craft compelling product stories.
  • Familiarity with content creation, marketing automation, and sales enablement tools is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The starting salary range for this role is $175,000 with 10% annual bonus potential.
  • Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, 3-weeks paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid company holidays, Safe Harbor 401(k) with employer matching, continuing education stipend, fitness incentive, and 3-week paid sabbatical after your 5-year anniversary.
