Manager, Linux Cloud Platform

The platform engineering manager will lead our Linux engineering team and be responsible for managing our Linux systems infrastructure across the enterprise to ensure reliability, security and efficiency. The role involves effectively working with other cross-functional teams within the organization to achieve business goals and objectives.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Develop and implement strategies for CI/CD, infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud operations
• Manage Incident response and resolution processes to minimize downtime and ensure service reliability
• Prepare and present reports on team performance, project status and operational metrics to leadership
• Establish best practices for security, performance and scaling infrastructure in production environments
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to team developing and maintaining automation scripts using shell scripting, python, ansible and other languages to streamline system administration
• Collaborate with CyberSecurity to implement necessary safeguards to protect the infrastructure from unauthorized access, threats and vulnerabilities
• Facilitate effective communication within and outside of the team.
• Participate in budget planning and management for resources, evaluating new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to enhance organizational practices
• Monitor infrastructure and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Continuous and effective performance management of the team.

What you'll bring:

• 7+ years of experience as an engineer with a strong technical background managing Linux systems.
• 5+ years of experience in a managerial or leadership role managing cloud infrastructure.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to work effectively within team members and key stakeholders
• Strong ability to mentor, coach and drive professional development within the team.
• Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities; Available on a 24x7x365 basis when needed for production impacting incidents or key customer events.

The starting base pay is $133,700.00 to $173,800.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
