We are seeking a dynamic, multilingual individual who can quickly get up to speed and become an integral part of our multicultural team.

As a Data Analyst on the Linguistics team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of specific languages based on your fluency. You’ll play a key role in shaping how these languages are used across a variety of Lightcast products, ensuring they meet our quality standards and contribute to feature enhancements. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the evolution of language data within a global context.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and improve data quality of multilingual text classifiers
  • Work with linguistics and engineering teams to build out new parsers across languages
  • Translate various taxonomies such as Skills, Titles, and Occupations.
  • Create crosswalks from origin language titles and skills to Lightcast taxonomies
  • Use SQL for data handling and database management

Skills/Abilities:

  • Competency in three or more languages strong preference will be given to candidates fluent in Danish, Croatian & Czech.
  • Understanding of syntax and structural analysis of languages
  • Microsoft Excel experience (including vlookups, data cleanup, and functions)
  • Knowledge of query languages such as SQL
  • Knowledge of text analysis or machine learning principles
  • Experience with data analysis using tools such as Excel or Python
  • Knowledge of RegEx

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP or similar (preferred)
  • Knowledge of multinational labor markets (preferred)
  • Strong linguistics knowledge
