Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an Senior Software Engineer for Cloudvirga, a part of the Stewart family of companies. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building .NET applications using C# and/or Angular JS in both front-end and back-end environments. You will be given the opportunity to work across product lines and platforms while following your projects through to completion in your own test-driven environments. You will be directly involved with .NET application coding in a SaaS environment, system debugging, code reviews, and the adherence of operational procedures. You will bring your commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product to the forefront of everything you do as a highly valued contributor to the development and enhancement of our enterprise SaaS and mobile applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code in a cloud native approach
  • Integrate data storage solutions
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
  • Maintain code quality through unit testing and test drive development
  • Mentor junior resources to ensure their skills evolve according to best practices
  • Meet with cross-functional groups to assist with the estimation of new work
  • Provides comprehensive application software development services and/or technical support on moderately complex projects and initiatives
  • Analyzes, modifies and may develop program logic for existing applications, programs and enhancements
  • Competent to work at the highest technical level of some phases of applications programming activities
  • Performs specialized assignments; solves complex problems and develops non-traditional solutions through sophisticated analytical thinking
  • Interprets internal/external business environment
  • Recommends best practices to improve processes or services
  • Impacts achievements of customer, operational, project or service objectives
  • Communicates difficult concepts to team to generate clarity and alignment on projects, initiatives, and various work products
  • May lead functional projects with moderate risks and resource requirements
  • Individual contributor working independently; may require guidance in highly complex situations
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred

Experience

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related work experience
  • Minimum 5+ years as an Engineer in the .Net Framework
  • Minimum 5+ years working with C#
  • Minimum 3+ years Angular experience
  • Minimum 3+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server
