Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Perform weekly governance of all storage platforms, including capacity management, identification of potential risks, and collaboration with associated product teams. Responsible for product access management, resiliency management, technology lifecycle management, upgrades and patches, and remediation of vulnerabilities. Perform risk management for file storage products. Create Technology Resiliency Action Plans, Cyber Resiliency Assessments, and Application Impact Analyses. Complete assessments in Application Owner Service, and maintain No Site Recovery documentation. Manage asset inventory and components, and maintain approved technology products and components in systems of record. Collaborate with engineering to maintain product currency. Attain data center entry criteria for assigned applications. Develop data for operational metrics and develop reporting materials. Maintain storage product line dashboards containing key operational metrics and provide data points for executive reporting. Develop forecasts for departmental resourcing and quarterly operational priorities. Respond and resolve outstanding product risk, audit preparation, account lifecycle management, integration with access management infrastructure, resolution of penetration tests findings, encryption compliance, and data retention compliance. Develop and manage delivery for various programs. Develop product backlogs and sprint priorities, and coordinate requirements with customers. Mentor junior team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: 9 (Nine) years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study plus 7 (Seven) years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Onboarding tools to support the modernization of organizational infrastructure; Configuration management; Technology SLA and SLO management; Technology lifecycle management; Managing the operations of applications and storage products; Improving product hygiene; Improving product resiliency; Account lifecycle management; Access management; Identifying and remediating product risks and vulnerabilities; Conducting strategic planning related to existing and future capacity requirements; Providing reports on storage capacity; Replicating and migrating data to new storage arrays; SRDF; Truecopy; SAN Copy; Open Replicator; Remote copy; ONTAP; SnapMirror; Documenting operational run books at a financial institution for storage operations teams; Providing operational run book escalation support; Developing and promoting standard operating procedures for operations staff; Documenting storage provisioning and disaster recovery process for vendor storage technologies; Planning, designing, and deploying storage technology in data centers; Fibre Channel; File storage arrays; Change management processes at a financial institution; Deploying and managing storage monitoring and alerting software at a financial institution; SANScreen; ECC; ESRS Gateway; RSA for Netapp; SMARTS SAM products.
