As an Identity Access Management (IAM) Okta Engineer, you will be instrumental in architecting and advancing our enterprise-wide authentication and access management ecosystem. This critical role encompasses the comprehensive design, development, and optimization of our Okta Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) infrastructure, driving technological innovation and security excellence. This pivotal role will report directly to the Senior Manager of Identity & Access Management. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strategic vision, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of technological security and efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
- Review and lead the gathering of business, functional and technical requirements for establishing an Okta Identity platform.
- Complete the assigned engagement tasks within the project scope and budget, while meeting deliverable requirements.
- Hands-on development/coding in Okta.
- Create, update, and maintain metrics and reports to show progress and value of IAM program.
- Review Updates and new features of Okta and make recommendations for implementation to environment.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight to IAM team.
- Support the creation of project plans to develop and implement the proposed solution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Lead upgrades to Okta platform.
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and service delivery teams to understand their needs and deliver a cost-effective solution.
- Suggest new functionality as an improvement to existing OKTA platform.
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
- Must have a minimum 5+ years of IAM experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the development and/or operational experience with Okta, including implementation, installation, configuration & administration of various components.
- Hands on experience integrating applications with Okta SSO.
- Hands on experience migrating legacy header-based applications to modern authentication standards such as SAML, OIDC, OAuth.
- Hands-on experience with OAG implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Able to effectively present SSO concepts to stakeholders with various levels of technical understanding.
- Have knowledge and ability to create OKTA APIs for custom integrations and solutions.
- Have a solid understanding of identity management and security policy concepts, protocols, and best practices.

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $110,000 to $220,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
