Torq is looking for our first HR manager to work with our US team who will have the privilege to help create an environment where people feel valued, respected, and comfortable. This role includes employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, learning and development and compliance. As a key member of the HR team, you will work closely with leadership to ensure our team aligns with the company’s mission, vision, and values. Key Responsibilities:

  • Team leadership: Support and guide a talented team as they tackle exciting challenges and develop innovative solutions.

  • Fostering culture: Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment where everyone feels valued.
  • Conflict resolution: Address any team concerns with fairness and empathy, ensuring a harmonious workplace.
  • Goal-setting: Collaborate with leadership to set clear, achievable objectives and celebrate successes.

Skills:

  • A genuine passion for working with people and helping them grow.
  • Experience in team leadership or people management (formal or informal roles count!).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • An open mind and a willingness to learn from both successes and setbacks.
  • A knack for creating an inclusive and supportive team environment.
  • Ability to stay organized and adaptable in a dynamic work setting.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-scale organization, preferably in the tech, cybersecurity, or SaaS industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, employee relations and HR best practices.
  • Experience in performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development.

This is a remote position based in the Eastern Time Zone of the US.
