WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

As Qualia embarks on the next phase of growth, we are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our People Operations Team. The HRBP will play a pivotal role in aligning our people strategy with business goals. You’ll collaborate closely with managers and employees, serving as a strategic partner in implementing HR best practices, building strong relationships, and cultivating a supportive and positive workplace culture. This role requires a hands-on approach, strategic thinking, and a passion for driving initiatives that enhance employee success, engagement, and organizational growth. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with multiple levels of management in assigned business units, serving as a strategic advisor on talent management and employee relations
  • Provide ongoing performance management guidance with managers, including coaching and counseling for career development, performance improvement, and disciplinary actions
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with People Operations leadership to develop solutions, programs, and policies 
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit structure, workforce planning and succession planning 
  • Manage, investigate, and resolve employee relations issues including collaborating with outside counsel as needed
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, partnering with Legal team as needed

YOUR BACKGROUND THAT LIKELY MAKES YOU A MATCH

  • 4+ years of experience as an HRBP or related HR role, preferably in a SaaS company
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, benefits, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Comfortable working with HRIS data and an ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Basic understanding of Excel or Google Sheets with an interest in advancing data skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, skilled at building strong relationships at all levels of an organization
  • BS/BA degree
  • Ability to travel a minimum of twice per month
  • Based in Austin, TX with the ability to work in the office a minimum of three days per week is required
