The Role

Description
Work Arrangement
This role is based remotely, but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Pontiac, Milford or Mountain View, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
The Role
GM is undergoing a major transformation, both in how we operate and in how we will influence the future of transportation. Reporting to the Head of Global Early Careers, we are looking for a Head of Early Career Programs to foster the ongoing growth of our early in career strategies.
The Head of EC Programs will provide strategic thought leadership and influence a number of key internal programs including an enterprise wide internship program, targeted Co-Op engagement as well as working extensively across all internal teams and functions at GM. The new leader will be responsible for the stewardship of early in career programs, management of their key metrics / objectives and all people management of the programs team.
Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and oversee the execution of priorities supporting an enterprise-wide global internship program and entry level Track Programs
  • Lead the execution of GMs Co-Op Strategy and corresponding program management
  • Shape and drive execution with internal and external stakeholders / partnerships
  • Identify opportunities to drive enterprise-level business outcomes through improved operational efficiency & innovative practices
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to foster collaboration
  • Help shape program management roadmaps and ensure progress on strategic initiatives.
  • Use internal reporting and analytics to monitor programmatic experiences (students, hiring managers, etc.)
  • Maintain regular communication with the broader Early Career recruiting team to ensure strategy alignment


Additional Description
Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide university recruiting programs hiring more than 1,000+ Early in Career starters annually
  • 3+ years managing managers
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic thought leadership with complex problem-solving experience (measurement of data and progress towards goals)
  • Experience working with and presenting to senior leadership (VP+)
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
  • Experience managing and leading teams and enabling an inclusive, development-focused, and high-performance culture.
  • Experience leading large-scale functional transformation and change initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen, understanding of business needs, ability to leverage data insights to influence decisions to yield business outcomes.
  • Ability to manage project timelines, milestones, deliverables, budget.
  • Executive level verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years managing a recruiting programs team in related Industry


Compensation

  • The expected base compensation for this role is $127,900 - $200,100 USD Annually.
  • Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
