Dot Esports, the premier destination for gaming & esports coverage online, is looking for freelance writers anywhere in the world to join our news desk. This role is freelance and fully remote.
Interested candidates should have in-depth knowledge of gaming and must be comfortable writing news about various gaming-related topics. This is a great opportunity to cover the gaming communities you love while working with one of the best teams in esports and games journalism. Applicants should be self-starters who are eager to learn and respond well to constructive criticism. We’re a global, digital newsroom, and work will be remote.

We're looking for multiple types of writers who will each cover different beats. These include:
- General esports
- Video game releases
- Live service games with large communities
Responsibilities:
- Help cover news and guides around game releases and updates
- Work with editors to develop pitches
- Meet deadlines for publishing stories
- Follow trending topics through Google Trends and Twitter
- Write a minimum of 20 stories per month
- Understanding online game communities and the games themselves
Preferred qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience writing in the gaming industry
- Knowledge of SEO practices
- Weekend availability
Rates:
Compensation ranges from $16-250 per article depending on length and content type.
